NRX Jeremiah 29:11 stuns top Thai team, punches ticket to Call of Duty Worlds

NRX Jeremiah 29:11 will be representing the Philippines in the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2020.

This as the Philippine-based team stunned top-ranked Daivo.FreeSlot of Thailand, 3-2, in the best-of-five grand finals Garena Qualifiers, Sunday evening.

Jerrold “Woopiiee” Regay proved to be too deadly with the DL Q33, providing a game-high eight kills en route to a dominant 6-0 win in the Search and Destroy Game Five. NRX brought out the brooms in the series-clinching match, dominating the Thais, 6-0 at the Firing Range to qualify for the global CODM meet.

NRX opened its grand finals campaign with a thrilling come-from-behind victory in Game One (Hardpoint), turning a 6-87 disadvantage to a 150-113 victory to draw first blood against Daivo.

Kennedy “iDra” Mondoy spearheaded the Game One comeback with 19 kills, 15 deaths, and eight assists while Woopiiee chipped in 17 kills and seven assists despite falling 17 times in the game.

Despite dropping Game Two (Search and Destroy Meltdown), NRX had the chance to close out the series in four games after winning Game Three (Domination Standoff), 150-108. Daivo, though, did not go down without a fight.

The Thais took down the Filipinos in Game Four (Hardpoint) at the Summit, scoring 150-120, to force a do-or-die Game Five showdown.

Teams from across the globe will be fighting for the $750,000 USD in the CODM World Championships which will be held in Los Angeles, USA this December.
