Omega Esports has officially expanded to Call of Duty Mobile after acquiring the core of NRX Jeremiah 29:11, the organization announced on Tuesday evening.
The roster is composed of John “Jayzee” Rivera, Benjamin “Crush” Trinidad Jr., Jerrold “Woopiiee” Regay, Kennedy “iDra” Mondoy, John “KenDy” Pimentel, Bruce “Dev1ce” Cruz, and Eulo “6ix9ine” De Chavez.
“We are excited to announce that we’ve acquired one of the aces of the Call Of Duty: Mobile PH scene,” said Omega.
“These guys don’t only represent the Philippines on multiple international tournaments, they bring home Championship titles too!”
NRX Jeremiah 29:11 punched its ticket to the CODM World Championships last year but the event was eventually cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Game developer Garena then decided to equally split the prize pool of $750,000 to the seven qualified teams.
The team eventually placed second in the ESL MP Major 2020 after a 2-3 loss to Singapore’s Divinity.Uprising in the grand finals.
Last April, the roster competed in the Garena Invational but settled for fourth place after losing to the same squad which rebranded to Almighty.
The Smart-backed squad now have five game titles in CODM, Tekken, Dota 2, Mobile Legends, and League of Legends: Wild Rift.
