UK1R, Andoryuuu, Ch4knu anchor Omega Esports’ MPL PH 14 campaign

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

Omega Esports eyes redemption with the franchise’s former MDL stars leading its MPL Philippines Season 14 squad.

Jayson “UK1R” Alupit, Andrew “Andoryuuu” Flora, and Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog, who were all elevated from the development league to the main stage last season, have officially joined the squad.

UK1R, Andoryuuu, and Ch4knu were called upon to help the team escape elimination and played impressively.

However, Omega Esports eventually fell short of securing a playoff berth, ending with a 3-11 win-loss record.

Mainstays Nowee “Ryota” Macasa, Jomari “Jowm” Pingol, and CJ “Ribo” Ribo will all return to the lineup, with the latter set to assume his role as a reserve.

Leading the squad is head coach Ronel “STRONGER” Tan, who is now on his third stint with the Smart-backed team.

STRONGER’s coaching staff will consist of Allec “SN4P” Alberto and Lemuel “LEMBOT” Lucban.

Notably absent from the squad is jungler John Paul “H2wo” Salonga.
