NCAA scraps Saturday’s slate due to Paeng

With the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council raising the signal of Typhoon Paeng to No. 3, the National Collegiate Athletic Association of the Philippines has decided to cancel its seniors basketball games on Saturday.

Student-athletes from both Emilio Aguinaldo College and Arellano University were not allowed entry to the Filoil Flying V Centre as the league requested them to go back to their homes.

EAC-Arellano was supposed to take place at 12:00 NN followed by a highly-anticipated clash between College of Saint Benilde and San Beda University.

The Generals were supposed to gun for their second win in 13 games against the Chiefs, who are 4-6 in the standings.

Meanwhile, the Blazers are the league leader at 8-2 while the Red Lions are 6-4.
