Rey Nambatac, Kevin Racal come back home to Letran as asst coaches

A couple of Knights are returning home to Colegio de San Juan de Letran.

Kevin Racal and Rey Nambatac will return to their roots, this time serving as assistant coaches to the Knights and the Squires, respectively.

Fr. Vic Calvo, OP, confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.

Racal and Nambatac were both part of the Letran team that won the NCAA seniors basketball championship back in Season 91 under then-head coach Aldin Ayo.

Currently, Racal remains under Ayo in the PBA team Converge while Nambatac is with Blackwater.NCAA-99-Letran-def-JRU-Allen-Ricardo Rey Nambatac, Kevin Racal come back home to Letran as asst coaches Basketball CSJL NCAA News - philippine sports news

Two Letranites will also be calling the shots for both the seniors and juniors teams of Letran, with Willie Miller taking charge of the Squires while Allen Ricardo was promoted to the Knights.

Ricardo is now the head coach of the Knights after former head coach Rensy Bajar and Letran agreed to a contract buyout earlier this week.

Ricardo, a two-time juniors champion coach, will still serve as a consultant for the Squires.
