MPL PH: RSG PH advances to 4th straight UB semis, eliminates Omega

RSG PH made its fourth consecutive appearance in the upper bracket semifinals after defeating Omega Esports 3-0 in the MPL Philippines Season 12 playoffs on Wednesday night at the EVM Convention Center.

Meanwhile, the Smart-backed squad finished in 5th-6th place for the third consecutive time.

After a back-and-forth affair in the opener, RSG PH gained an advantage by winning the 14th-minute Lord fight. They secured the objective and eliminated Nowee “Ryota” Macasa (Edith) and Matthew “Matt” Papag (Fredrinn).

To make matters worse for Omega Esports, Duane “Kelra” Pillas (Brody) also fell right afterward, ultimately allowing RSG PH to secure the win.

Game 2 was lopsided, with John “1rrad” Tuason’s Fanny taking the spotlight.

1rrad’s early-game prowess proved too much for Omega Esports, who trailed for the entire game before RSG PH finally clinched the victory at the 14th minute following its second Lord take.

RSG PH then sealed the deal with a dominant showing in Game 3.

The Raiders will face Bren Esports in the upper bracket semifinals tomorrow, Thursday at 6:00 PM.
