MPL PH: RSG completes season sweep of AP.Bren

RSG Philippines reaffirmed their mastery over AP.Bren as they secured a stunning 2-0 victory through come-from-behind rallies in Week 4 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City on Sunday.

RSG (6-4) has now won four out of their last five matches and jumped ahead of AP.Bren to claim the second spot in the standings with 17 points, bolstering their hopes for an upper bracket placement.

AP.Bren began the series with a strong start, amassing a 10k gold lead in the 14th minute, thanks to a 12-2 kill score. Marco Stephen “SUPER MARCO” Requitano (Beatirx) led the way early on with a 5-1-4 KDA.

The tide slowly turned when RSG secured a 3-1 trade-off after the 20th-minute Lord fight. Later, Dylan “Light” Catipon’s (Edith) concealed play in the 34th minute triggered a 5-1 wipeout, giving RSG a 1-0 lead.

Game 2 followed a similar pattern, with AP.Bren initially taking control of the match. However, RSG turned the tide with a 3-0 pick-off during the 22nd-minute team fight, enabling them to pressure the midlane inhibitor turret and complete the sweep with a clean wipeout.

This marked AP.Bren’s fifth loss in nine matches, but they remained in the top half of the standings, tied for third place with Onic Philippines, as both teams currently have 15 points.
