MPL PH: AP. Bren breezes past Blacklist, regains pole

AP.Bren swiftly rebounded from a stinging loss at the hands of ONIC Philippines by securing another 2-0 sweep of Blacklist International for their seventh win overall in Week 4 of the MPL Philippines Season 13 on Sunday at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City.

The defending champions reclaimed the top spot in the standings as they improved to 21 points while keeping Blacklist (2-6) in sixth with seven points.

According to AP.Bren head coach Francis “Duckeyy” Glindro, two factors contributed to their dominant display and Blacklist’s ongoing struggles.

“Lack of aggression is one,” explained Duckeyy.

“Number two, I think we’ve experienced this before as well because if you’ve been losing for a long time, you tend to lose confidence in what you’re doing,” he added.

“I think they just need to regain their footing so that they can, you know, put on a show again.”

Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano scored a Maniac killing streak to cap off a dominant Game 1 victory that the Hornets secured via a 9-0 shutout in kill score.

He earned the MVP title with a 4-0-2 KDA.

The Hornets maintained their fiery form in Game 2, led by Super Marco’s (Brody) 2-0-2 KDA in a 14-minute victory.

AP.Bren will aim for a second straight win as they face TNC Pro Team on Saturday, April 20.
