Kim Fajardo thrives amid PLDT’s offensive arsenal

Kim Fajardo is savoring the luxury of having multiple offensive weapons at her disposal as PLDT inches closer to a qualifying-round berth in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.

The High Speed Hitters now sit atop the league standings after their win over the Highrisers, improving their record to an impressive 6-1.

Fajardo has been central to their dominance, orchestrating the offense with precision and spreading the scoring threat across the lineup, making the team nearly unstoppable after seven preliminary games.

“Good problem yun para sa akin kasi lahat gusto pumatay, lahat gusto ng bola,” said the former La Salle star.

Savannah Davison led the scoring with 21 points, fueled by an efficient 18-of-24 attacking performance, but it wasn’t just her carrying the load.

With Fajardo steering the ship, the High Speed Hitters received balanced contributions across the roster: Mika Reyes added 10 points, Alleiah Malaluan had nine, Majoy Baron seven, and Kianna Dy six—highlighting the team’s depth and collective firepower.

The 32-year-old playmaker earned Player of the Game honors, delivering 15 excellent sets and adding three points of her own to guide her team to victory.

With so many offensive weapons at her disposal, Fajardo knows the responsibility of making the right decisions falls on her shoulders.

“Sa akin lang, trust na lang din sa sarili ko sa decision-making at trust sa mga kasama,” Fajardo said.

She also expressed her satisfaction with how much the team has grown over the past conferences, noting that the players’ discipline and cohesion on the court are now more evident than ever.

For Fajardo, every time she steps on the court, she knows she has a team ready to battle—a group prepared to compete at the highest level and give everything for every point.

“Ako, happy lang ako na yung mga skills kaya siya i-training, yung mga dapat gawin sa court. Pero happy ako kasi, bilang isa sa mga nasa loob, na-feel ko yung discipline, yung mga skills na di kayang ituro sa loob kundi yung mga tulad ng communication, kung paano yung attitude sa loob,” Fajardo said.

“Hindi na siya yung dating katulad ng previous seasons; yung feeling sa loob iba na talaga—talagang lalaban at lalaban.”
