Janti Miller enjoys thriving on-court bond with Bryan Sajonia

Heading into the crucial stretch of NCAA Season 101, San Beda University may have found the duo capable of carrying them all the way back to the top: Janti Miller and Bryan Sajonia.

Their chemistry was on full display in a dominant 91-72 Game 1 semifinals win over College of Saint Benilde, where Miller poured in 29 points and Sajonia added 26.

With both wings thriving off the attention they attract, San Beda’s offense flowed effortlessly — a worrying sign for any team hoping to slow them down.

“It’s lovely and it makes my job easier. Like I said, you go to pick your poison, either I’m going to get off or he’s going to get off. Today, we both scored and played good – that’s one of our best games,” Miller said.

For Sajonia, the partnership has grown beyond timing; it has become a natural understanding of each other’s rhythm. The former FEU guard has embraced the freedom that comes with sharing the floor with someone who can collapse a defense at will.

“Of course, meron talaga yan. Nagpapakiramdaman lang kami nyan and kapag alam namin na talagang walang babantay kay Janti, ibibigay ko sa kanya yung bola,” Sajonia said.

With their connection sharpening at the perfect moment, the Red Lions’ ceiling should continue to rise.

“Masaya kami kasi napunta siya sa amin. Thankful kami na dahil sa kanya nananalo kami.”

Miller, meanwhile, isn’t fazed by the spotlight or the expectations that come with their postseason surge.

With momentum building and the Red Lions just one win away from returning to the finals, Miller knows the stakes will only rise. But instead of tightening up, he remains unfazed, approaching each game with the same calm, steady mentality that has made him San Beda’s anchor all season.

“I don’t feel pressure at all, and we’re going to come here and do the same thing,” he said.

“We’re just going to take it one game at a time and I’m focused on winning the championship. Outside noise doesn’t really bother me.”
