Jaja Santiago signs with JT Marvelous

Jaja Santiago will remain in Japan V.League.

The towering Filipina blocker is set to join JT Marvelous for the 2023-24 season.

With the development, the 6-foot-5 middle blocker will play in Japan for the fifth consecutive season after spending the last four with Saitama Ageo Medics.

JT is a three-time V.League champion with its most recent title coming in the 2019-20 season.

“As a new member of JT Marvelous, I am sure this season will be an exciting and challenging year,” said Santiago on her new team.

“This season, I will do my best to work hard together with my new teammates and show the best performance I can.

“Please continue to support me and my team.”

The Marvelous first joined the Japanese premier volleyball league in 2000.

Along with Santiago, JT also signed local middle blocker Erina Ogawa, who played for Toray for the last seven years.

Last season, the Marvelous had American Karsta Lowe and Thai Thatdao Nuekjang as their foreign players.
