Jaja Santiago, Alyssa Solomon part ways with SV.League clubs, enter free agency

Jaja Santiago and Alyssa Solomon are set to enter free agency after the 2025–26 SV.League season.

Both Denso and Osaka announced that the two Filipinos will not be renewing their contracts once they expire on May 31.

Santiago’s stint with the Airybees and Solomon’s campaign with the Marvelous each lasted just one season.

Santiago, who carries the Japanese name Sachi Minowa, totaled 432 points built on 334 attacks, 83 blocks, and 15 aces for Denso.

“Thank you all for an unforgettable year with the Denso Airybees. This season has been a rollercoaster of emotions—moments that were joyful, and everything in between. Through it all, I’ve learned invaluable lessons and collected memories I will carry with me into my next chapter,” said Santiago.

“I am endlessly grateful to every fan who cheered us on during home games, and to those who supported us in away games too. Your support fueled us, even on tough days, and your belief made every effort worthwhile.”

Meanwhile, Solomon put up 147 points on 116 attacks, 27 blocks, and four aces in her rookie run with Osaka.

“As I approach the end of my journey with Osaka Marvelous, I would like to sincerely thank everyone for the support throughout this season. This journey has been especially meaningful to me as it marks my first experience playing professionally and a big step in my career,” said Solomon.

“It wasn’t an easy decision, but it turned into one of the most rewarding chapters of my life. I’m truly grateful for everything I’ve learned and for the moments shared with my teammates, coaches, and fans. Let’s make this final stretch of the season special, and I hope you continue to support the team until the very end.”
