Flysolo confident Deus Vult has what it takes to win M5

Filipino coach Kenneth “Flysolo” Coloma has full confidence that his wards at Deus Vult can take this year’s M5 World Championship title.

The confidence is not misplaced, though. Deus Vult has become one of the biggest surprises in the tournament, beating Malaysian champions Home Bois and The Ohio Brothers in the group stage.

They later dominated Fire Flux Esports in the upper bracket to secure at least a top six finish.

The team has come a long way since Flysolo took on the coaching reins prior to their MLBB Continental Championships Season 2 campaign.

Kasi as Filipino and western, magkaiba talaga. Naadopt naman agad nila,” explained Flysolo in an exclusive interview with Tiebreaker Times.

“Nung una, one week pinatry nila ako kung mag-iimprove ba sila or what. Before EECA yun eh. Wala pa silang disiplina that time. Sugod lang nang sugod. Minix ko yung disiplina tapos sugod. Kung paanong gawin yung tamang pagsugod nila.”

Although challenging at first, Deus Vult’s polished gameplay has given them the dark horse tag in the tournament.

But they will face their biggest test yet as they meet Indonesian powerhouse and considered the tournament favorites Onic Esports in the upper bracket semi-finals on Tuesday, December 12.
