FlapTzy: The unassuming GOAT of MLBB? AP.Bren star’s remarkable achievements

After their success in the M5 World Championship, David “FlapTzy” Canon’s body language and facial expression were the epitome of surprise seeing his reaction after being declared as the M5 Finals MVP.

“That time po kasi pagod na pagod na ako and hindi na pumapasok sa isip ko kung sino yung Finals MVP tapos nagulat ako nung sinabing ako raw yung Finals MVP kasi para sakin mas deserve nilang apat kesa sakin,” recalled FlapTzy on his reaction on the M5 stage after helping AP.Bren take down Onic Esports, 4-3, in the grand finals.

The 19-year-old exp laner is now one of only two MLBB professional player who won two M-series world champion, one M-series MVP award and one SEA Games gold medalist.

The other is Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, considered as the GOAT of MLBB and awarded as one of the M-series’ greatest players.

Both FlapTzy and KarlTzy also have a pair of MPL Philippines titles and one MPL Finals MVP each. However, what sets the exp laner apart is his IESF World Championship title which he won this year.

With a decorated career and dominance in the MLBB, FlapTzy has now entered the Greatest of All Time conversation but he refuses to dwell on that conversation.

Instead, he remains focused on helping AP.Bren assert their might with more championships in the coming year.

“Hindi ko po alam eh bahala na yung mga tao mag-decide. Hindi ko po kasi iniisip yung mga title na yan. Gusto ko po maglaro pa lalo at magchamp pa lalo,” he said when asked about him being considered by some fans as the GOAT of MLBB.

And he is eyeing for a second straight MPL Philippines title to go along with the MSC 2024 crown.

“Mas lalo pa po kami magpapalakas as a team para makuha yung msc at mga susunod na tournaments,” he said.
