Yeb out to break UB curse in second M-series grand final appearance

Two years have passed since Coach Denver “Yeb” Miranda and Kairi “Kairi” Rayoselsol reached the grand finals of the M3 World Championship, and now, they find themselves back in the title match.

However, Coach Yeb and the squad are curtailing their celebrations, recognizing that the job is not yet complete.

“Masaya kami after manalo sa AP.BRen pero hindi pa tapos, so hindi pa kami pwedeng maging sobrang saya kasi may laban pa kami bukas,” he stated in an exclusive interview with Tiebreaker Times.

Reminiscent of their M3 run, the Onic duo has once again reached the finals as the team emerging from the upper bracket.

Interestingly, no upper bracket team has won the M-series title since Evos Legends did it during the M1 World Championship.

“Actually, hindi namin iniisip ‘yun. Hindi kami naniniwala sa upper bracket curse eh kasi pag binigay sa’yo ni Lord, bibigay sa’yo ni Lord ‘yan eh,” said a confident Coach Yeb.

“Yung confidence ko po sa lahat ng tournament, never bumaba ng 100%. So lagi akong confident para yung players ko confident din.”

Although Yeb and Kairi are still under Onic, they now represent an Indonesian team in the world championship after transferring from Onic PH following MPL Philippines Season 9.

One thing stands out for Coach Yeb in this year’s M-series campaign.

“Yung experience nung M3 iba eh. Ngayon sa M5, sana mas mabigay namin yung best namin. Saka wala na si V33Wise,” he said while bursting out a laugh.
