Entity7 ends Shocker’s, Saxa’s, Tracy’s MSC hopes

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

Entity7 finished at the top on Day 1 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup (MSC) Wild Card round on Friday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MPL Latam Season 1 runners-up defeated Justin “Shocker” Guanga’s Zino Zenith, Kenneth “Saxa” Fedelin and Damasco “Tracy” Danielle’s Keep Best Gaming, and S2G Esports in a best-of-one series, winning 3-0 and ending their opponents’ hopes of qualifying for the main stage of the MSC.

Shocker’s Zino Zenith, with a record of 2-1, fell short in the Wild Card round against the MPL Latam runners-up. They couldn’t stop the combination of Darien “Chan” Barraza (Lou Yi) and Rodrigo “Erwin” Herenu (Minotaur), who accumulated 12 and 18 assists, respectively, in their 23-14 kill score against the reigning M Challenge Mekong champions.

Meanwhile, Kenneth “Saxa” Fedelin and Damasco “Tracy” Danielle’s Keep Best Gaming finished the Wild Card round with one win and two losses, losing against Entity7 and Zino Zenith.

In their sole win against S2G Esports, both Filipinos started strong, with Saxa’s Nolan and Tracy’s Chou picking off every hero in their path.

The match between Keep Best Gaming and Zino Zenith was a nail-biting series, as three Filipinos faced each other.

In the 26 minutes of action between the representatives of Myanmar and China, the game came down to the last Lord fight, where Nguyễn Văn “Joww” Tô Đô stole the Lord and seized the opportunity to finish the game.

Despite not making it to the main stage, it was still a good MSC debut for the three Filipinos, each of whom finished with impressive KDA stats. Shocker had 13 kills, 18 assists, and five deaths. Meanwhile, Saxa and Tracy had a combined 15 kills, 13 assists, and 21 deaths.
