Meanwhile, the Philippine Navy Lady Sailors cruised to their own lopsided victory, routing PSP, 68-35, to extend their winning streak to three in this tournament supported by Manny Pacquiao, Senator Francis Tolentino, and the MPBL Partylist.

Perlas set the tone early, surging to a 38-17 halftime lead before stretching the gap to as much as 46 points in the fourth quarter. Angel Anies capped the dominant showing with a three-pointer that pushed Discovery’s largest lead to 86-40 with 3:13 left in the game.

“Against EZ Jersey, we were expecting a win naman talaga, but the quality of our game still needs improvement. Kasi syempre, patagal ng patagal, pabigat ng pabigat ‘yung mga kalaban eh,” said Perlas head coach Helen Fedillaga.

“Against them naman, we ran our transition a little bit better now. I think we really need to improve our rebounding, both offensive and defensive. And of course, our transition defense,” she added.

Anies torched EZ Jersey with 18 points, hitting five three-pointers in just 14 minutes of action. Allana Lim was efficient as ever, finishing with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting along with five rebounds and two assists, while Raiza Palmera-Dy stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, nine assists, and seven steals.
