Christian Lee waited exactly 133 days for this moment.
Four months after their first encounter, Lee made sure that there would no officials nor judges could affect the result, needing just two minutes and 53 seconds to dispose of Edward Kelly, Saturday evening during ONE: Eternal Glory in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Last September 2018, Lee was en route to a dominant win over Kelly. However, during the heat of his flurry, the Evolve MMA standout threw the Team Lakay fighter with a suplex. Kelly’s head spiked the mat of the ring, resulting in a disqualification finish in favor of the 34-year-old Filipino featherweight.
This time around, Lee was aggressive all throughout, taking Kelly down early. The Singaporean then went on a mount and rained punches on the Filipino, resulting in the stoppage and the TKO win.
Lee raised his record to 10-3 and is on a two-fight winning streak.
On the other hand, Kelly dropped to 10-6, losing three of his last five bouts.
