The date is now set for Calvin Abueva’s last online seminar with the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) as he bids to regain his pro license.
According to GAB Chairman Baham Mitra, the third and last session will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m.
The amiable executive said that Phoenix Super LPG was the one who requested for the aforementioned date, which GAB agreed to.
“Phoenix Team Manager Paolo Bugia sent an email requesting for the last session to be held on October 14, 2020, Wednesday, 7 PM,” Mitra wrote in a message to Tiebreaker Times Sunday morning.
The webinars on the Code of Conduct of a Professional Player were supposed to take place for three nights in a row from Monday to Wednesday earlier this week, but conflicting schedules came in the way.
Abueva finished his second webinar last Thursday. The 32-year-old has been attending such while inside the PBA bubble in Clark.
Phoenix team manager Paolo Bugia had also confirmed that Abueva has finished all the medical requirements asked from him by GAB.
“Yes, Calvin has completed all GAB medical requirements for his license. We are satisfied with all the results,” he wrote in a text message.
But since the third webinar will be held on Wednesday, he won’t return to action in the Fuel Masters’ Oct. 12 match versus Meralco.
The PBA has insisted that he must finish all requirements before the league could decide on his reinstatement.
The San Sebastian product has been serving his suspension for 15 months now, the longest in league history.
Abueva last played in the PBA back in June 2, 2019, when Phoenix faced TNT in Commissioner’s Cup action in Antipolo.
