Roider Cabrera was rushed to the hospital as he collapsed shortly after Terrafirma’s PBA 3×3 match with Barangay Ginebra, Wednesday evening.
The development was first reported by Gerry Ramos of Spin.ph, and was later confirmed to Tiebreaker Times by a source privy to the matter.
Cabrera led the Dyip’s 19-17 overtime victory over Barangay Ginebra. He drilled the game-winning deuce to make it a 2-0 start in Day 1 of Leg 2.
He finished with 11 points.
But shortly after the game, the 31-year-old forward suddenly lost consciousness while inside the Terrafirma dugout at the Ynares Sports Arena.
Cabrera became the second player to be sent to the hospital after Val Acuna, who got hurt following a collision early in Purefoods’ match with Platinum.
