Blacklist outlasts Bren in Sibol ML tryouts

Blacklist International survived Bren Esports’ tough stand, 2-1, to claim the last upper bracket slot in the Sibol Mobile Legends: Bang Bang national team selection, Thursday night.

The reigning world champion remained the same beast despite a couple of familiar faces, coming out with an 11-4 Game One victory over the rejigged Bren Esports squad in 17 minutes and 58 seconds.

Bren Esports looked like it was about to take over the game in the 16-minute mark, but Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario (Yi Sun-Shin) and Howard “Owl” Gonzales (Harith) turned the tables around by kiting the remaining Bren contingent.

After winning the clash, the Tier One-backed squad secured the Luminous Lord and went for the game-winning siege.

Owl finished with five kills and six assists while Wise had four kills and seven dimes. Both players did not register a single death in the contest.

Not wanting to go down without a fight, Kenneth “Saxa” Fedelin (Paquito) and Vincent “Joy Boy” De Guzman (Ruby) pulled out all the stops needed as Bren Esports emerged victorious in Game Two.

The former ArkAngel standouts led the team to an 11-5 bounce-back win in Game Two in just 13 minutes and 57 seconds. Saxa top-scored with seven kills along with two assists and a death while Joy Boy recorded a game-high seven assists laced with two deaths.

Blacklist International fended off Bren Esports’ tough stand with a dominant 12-3 win in 14 minutes and 39 seconds.

Wise’s Aldous finished with three kills and five assists without a death while Salic “Hadji” Imam (Kagura) had a perfect 4-0-6 KDA.
