B.League: Thirdy Ravena, San-En dominated anew by Ryukyu

Thirdy Ravena and San-En found themselves run over once more by B.League leader Ryukyu, suffering a 72-100 rout, Sunday at Okinawa Arena.

Coming off a 110-77 decimation yesterday, the NeoPhoenix still had no answers for the Golden Kings. They absorbed their eighth straight loss to fall to 4-27 in the standings – dead last in the league.

The game was all but over in the third canto. Dwayne Evans exploded for 12 of his 22 points during that span, helping Ryukyu erect a 72-54 lead heading into the final frame. Evans also grabbed nine rebounds in the contest.

The quintet of Allen Durham, Evans, Keita Imamura, Yuki Mitsuhara, and Shota Ondera took turns in exposing San-En’s defense in the final quarter. Ryukyu’s lead went to as high as 29 points late in the game.

Durham led the way for Ryukyu, who went up to 27-3 in the standings, with 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting with nine rebounds. Imamura chipped in 15 points as well.

Elias Harris was the sole double-digit scorer for San-En with 12 points.

For the second straight game, Thirdy Ravena was in foul trouble, playing just 21 minutes for eight points, four rebounds, two assists, and a steal. The San-En sophomore did not start in the contest.

Thirdy and San-En will next face his brother Kiefer and Shiga on February 26 and 27 at Hamamatsu Arena.
