B.League: Kiefer-led rally falls short as Shiga bows to Ramos-less Toyama

Kiefer Ravena’s late burst was not enough to lift Shiga to a come-from-behind win against Toyama, falling 102-106 in the 2021-22 B.League season, Wednesday at Ukaruchan Arena.

Down by as much as 20 points, Ravena and Teppei Kashiwagura caught fire for the Lakestars.

Trailing 105-97 with 1:30 left, Ravena converted on one of three free throws before Kashiwagura knocked down a booming trey to cut the lead to four.

After forcing Naoki Uto to a turnover, Ravena atoned for his missed free throws by knocking down a triple to cut the lead to one with 25 seconds remaining.

Ravena though made a duty foul against Toshiki Kamisawa. It was his fifth foul, sending him to the showers.

Kamisawa converted on one of two free throws while Kashiwagura and Novar Gadson missed on late treys, giving Shiga another loss to its ledger.

Ravena ended up with 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field with eight assists. And it included a thunderous buzzer-beating dunk over Yoshiki Ametani.
