Janti Miller posted a cryptic Instagram story less than 48 hours before Game 2 of the NCAA Season 101 Seniors Basketball Finals.
Suspended for Saturday’s game at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the 21-year-old guard from California took to social media, reflecting on the possibility that Game 1 might have been his last for the Red Lions.
Maybe for the season? Maybe for good?
“Love y’all Beda,” he expressed.
“If that was my last game, I’m glad I was able to give it all I had.”
Miller tallied 16 points, nine rebounds, and two assists in the first game of the best-of-three finals.
However, with 6:16 remaining, he was assessed a flopping violation that led to his second technical foul of the contest.
In the NCAA, two technical fouls, two unsportsmanlike fouls, or any combination of both result in an automatic suspension, regardless of the circumstances.
San Beda still secured the win, 89-70.
Miller has dismissed rumors of a move to a UAAP school.
“No, it’s right here. I’m not worried about no other school or nothing. It’s right here to win a championship,” he said.
If he does decide to transfer, the 21-year-old will still be eligible to play for at least two more years, having played only one year at Casper College.
Another path he could take is going pro.
