Chery Tiggo’s resounding straight-sets victory over PLDT has resulted in a four-way tie for second place in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
With the Crossovers’ triumph, Petro Gazz, Creamline, High Speed Hitters, and the Crossovers themselves all stand at 7-2 – trailing the sole leader, Choco Mucho, at 8-1.
Chery Tiggo has two remaining games against eliminated teams Akari (4-5) and Galeries (3-6).
Despite facing lower-ranked opponents, the Crossovers are determined to give their all to secure a spot in the four-team round-robin semifinals.
Basta lagi lang kaming inii-stay grounded nila coach na ito yung kailangan natin trabahuhin as a team,” she continued.
“Kasi when we focus na makuha yung goals namin – which is win every game – everything will just follow eventually,”
Chery Tiggo aims to sweep their final two games to enter the postseason without complications.
Ties will not be resolved through playoffs but rather through the points system, set ratio, and points ratio, in that order.
To achieve this, Eya Laure and her teammates are concentrating on what they can control rather than worrying about the results of other tied teams.
Petro Gazz will face Galeries and Nxled, Creamline will play against Choco Mucho and PLDT, while PLDT will battle Cignal.
“Trabaho talaga ulit.
