Following an uncharacteristic five-set outing against Generika-Ayala last Saturday, the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers got the job done as swift as possible on Tuesday evening.
The Cargo Movers flaunted their might once again, orchestrating a straight-set 25-16, 25-13, 25-9 drubbing of the Marinerang Pilipina Lady Skippers at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo.
“Maganda naman yung pinakita ng mga players ngayon kumbaga in-improve nila kung ano yung mga mistakes nila last game sa service receive and communication inside the court,” said F2 Logistics head coach Ramil De Jesus.
Ara Galang and Kalei Mau led the balanced attack of F2 Logistics yet again. The former finished with 14 points laced with eight excellent digs and three excellent receptions; meanwhile, the latter ended with 14 markers as well.
Michelle Cobb tossed 18 excellent sets to go along with four points to put seven Cargo Movers on the charts.
Aby Maraño, a Rizal native, made a successful homecoming to Antipolo. She tallied nine points to propel F2 Logistics to their eleventh straight win.
On the other hand, the Lady Skippers remain winless in 11 games.
“Nakita ko rin na medyo mababa yung nilaro ng Marinera siguro dahil nawalan ng key player si (Chiara) Permentilla,” added De Jesus, referring to the Adamson standout who suffered a left knee injury last Saturday.
No Marinerang Pilipina player scored in double digits. The quartet of Judith Abil, Caitlin Viray, Ivy Remulla, and Zilfa Olarve notched five points each.
F2 Logistics now set their sights on defending champions Petron, as the much-awaited rematch will take place on August 8, Thursday. On Saturday, Marinerang Pilipina will try to score their breakthrough win against PLDT. Both games will be played at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
