Tyrus Hill, Kurt Lojera transfer to La Salle

Back to where they began

California-born Filipino-Americans Tyrus Hill and Kurt Lojera are back to the school that initially recruited them, as the two student-athletes have transferred from the Adamson University Soaring Falcons to the De La Salle University Green Archers, according to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation.

Both Hill and Lojera have already began training with the Green Archers as seen on social media posts by some members of the team. They join Jordan Bartlett as the key transferees for the rebuilding program.

Hill, a high-flying 6-foot-5 forward, averaged just 4.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 13.1 minutes during his first year.

On the other hand, Lojera, a 6-foot-1 combo guard, had norms of 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 15.5 minutes of gametime. The 22-year-old posted a career-high of 16 markers during Adamson’s win over the UST Growling Tigers last September 16.

Up until March 22, Lojera was still in the line-up of the Akari-Adamson Soaring Falcons in the PBA D-League. Saturday morning, Akari-Adamson silently removed him from the roster for Jasper Longalong.

Both student-athletes will still have two years of eligibility remaining. Hill and Lojera played a year for De Anza College and Foothill College respectively before playing for Adamson. They will be eligible to play for the 82nd Season of the UAAP.
