T1: Heading, Taichung deal Brickman’s Kaohsiung first loss

Taichung Wagor bucked a slow start, stunning erstwhile-unbeaten Kaohsiung Familymart a 93-88 in the 2021-22 T1 League season, Sunday at National Taiwan University of Sport Gymnasium.

Putting up just 14 points in the first half to fall behind by 11 to end the opening frame, the Suns came alive with a 31-point second quarter to cut the lead down to eight entering the break.

Down 80-72 early in the final frame, Julian Wright sparked a 13-0 blast capped by back-to-back treys from Jordan Heading and Sani Sakakini and a bucket courtesy of Julian Wright.

It was all Suns from there as they locked in on the Aquas.

The Suns raised their slate 2-2 while dealing the Aquas their first loss in five games.

It was a vengeful victory for Taichung, who lost to Kaohsiung last week, 92-81.

In the Filipino heads-up matchup, Heading tallied 11 points built on three treys with three rebounds and two assists while Brickman also had 11 points, six assists, five rebounds, and three steals.
