SJ Moore humbled as he attracts interest from 3 UAAP schools, CSB

As the NCAA Juniors Basketball elimination round came to a close, all eyes were on Arellano University forward SJ Moore.

With his stellar performance in the league, it was no surprise that offers from top UAAP and NCAA teams were already on the table.

Standing at 6-foot-2 athletic winger, Moore has impressed with his high-flying skills and leadership on the court.

He revealed to Tiebreaker Times that he had already received interest from De La Salle University, College of St. Benilde, University of Santo Tomas, and University of the Philippines.

However, despite the interests, the graduating forward is in no rush to make a decision.

“May apat na lumapit. Nagchat sakin si Coach Topex [Robinson], si Coach Tiu ng CSB, saka UST at UP,” the 20-year-old Moore said.

“Actually wala pa akong school na napipili pero pag-isipan ko muna ngayon.”

Moore’s talents were on full display in their final game of the season, where Arellano dominated Lyceum-Cavite with a final score of 91-76. Despite ending the season with only three wins and six losses, Moore still believed they could have done more.

“Kung tutuusin kaya naman talaga yung ibang teams e.

“Medyo baguhan pa lang yung lahat, dinadaan sa kaba. Medyo lagi lang talaga kaming kinakapos sa third quarter. Yung ibang players din medyo di pa gets yung laro ng iba,” Moore said.

This season, Moore averaged an impressive 19.25 points, 7.26 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per contest, leading Arellano to a 3-6 finish. With his outstanding performance, it’s no wonder that top schools are vying for his talents.

Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – SJ Moore is a name to watch out for.
