Singapore’s National 3X3 League (NXL) has set its sights on international expansion, hoping that Filipino squads join in the league’s journey towards becoming a regional powerhouse.
The NXL, renowned for its fast-paced and electrifying brand of basketball, has been gaining momentum with each passing leg of its nine-leg men’s and women’s competitions.
Leg 4, which concluded last April 20-21, saw the emergence of Thailand’s CT Tigers as dominant forces in both divisions.
In the Elite Men’s final, the CT Tigers, boasting Thailand national team player Chanatip Jakrawa, clinched victory over Singapore’s NTSC 7 with a score of 14-11.
Meanwhile, the CT Tigers’ women’s team, led by Thailand national team player Kwanjira Panted, secured a hard-fought win against Singapore’s NTSC 3, closing the game at 21-17.
With the league gaining traction and showcasing top-tier talent from across the region, the NXL has announced its intention to welcome Filipino squads into the fold.
This move not only enriches the league’s diversity but also sets the stage for thrilling matchups between teams from different basketball powerhouses.
Winners of the NXL tournaments not only bask in the glory of victory but also receive substantial rewards. Champions stand to earn up to S$1,000 in cash prizes, along with cash vouchers worth up to $400 from ANTA and product vouchers from esteemed sponsors.
As the NXL continues to push boundaries and foster international collaboration within the 3×3 basketball community, teams from the Philippines are encouraged to seize this opportunity to showcase their skills on a prestigious platform.
