Sabrina Ionescu, a WNBA champion with the New York Liberty and an Olympic gold medalist, is ready to visit Manila.
The record-holder for most career triple-doubles in US NCAA history is making her way to Asia as part of her first international tour.
A true game-changer, Ionescu has redefined what’s possible for female athletes both on and off the court. She is a pioneer, creating opportunities for young girls to follow in her footsteps, and a role model, inspiring the next generation to dream big and put in the work to make those dreams a reality.
Before she begins her campaign to defend her first WNBA title, Ionescu will travel to China and the Philippines to share her message of empowerment and further connect with the global basketball community.
“I’m excited to connect with basketball fans across Manila, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong, especially young hoopers. You can feel their passion for the game, even from New York,” said Ionescu.
“Together, we will celebrate the game, and I hope we inspire each other to achieve our dreams with dedication, commitment, and hard work.”
Manila, known as a basketball hotbed with deep ties to Nike Basketball, will be her first stop. On March 10, she will visit Nike Fort in Bonifacio Global City for a panel discussion alongside fellow Nike athletes and coaches at 3:00 PM.
The discussion will focus on breaking barriers, defying stereotypes, and inspiring hoopers to pursue their dreams.
During her stay, Ionescu will also lead a basketball clinic at The Courtyard, launch a special Nike Sabrina 2 collaboration, and take part in an electrifying showcase at the iconic Araneta Coliseum.
At the historic Big Dome, she will experience firsthand the energy of Filipino basketball. On March 11 at 4:00 PM, Ionescu will participate in an exhibition game and a three-point shootout challenge.
Filipino basketball fans are invited to register at https://www.nike.com/ph/basketball for the 2025 Sabrina Manila Tour: Craft the Future Showcase.
Like Ionescu, female hoopers can break barriers, achieve their dreams, and inspire the next generation. Tickets to Craft the Future are free and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Following her Manila visit, Ionescu will head to Guangzhou, China, where she will meet local athletes, visit historic courts, and host a grassroots basketball camp for young girls, continuing her mission to uplift female hoopers.
She will conclude her tour in Hong Kong, where she will immerse herself in the city’s street basketball culture. There, she will visit local courts and schools to inspire students, teaching them how to break through barriers both in life and in sports.
