Rondina-Pons, Gervacio-Rodriguez wrap up Malaysia to take second SEA Games win

The Philippine Women’s National Beach Volleyball Teams bolstered their chances of a podium finish in the 30th Southeast Asian Games following twin morale-boosting victories over Malaysian squads on Monday morning.

Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons flaunted their vaunted chemistry on the sand, making quick work of their Malyasian counterparts Mae Tasha and Tan Hsi Yan, 21-13, 21-9.

On the other hand, Dzi Gervacio and Dij Rodriguez dug deep and overcame an early deficit, pulling off a 17-21, 21-13, 15-7 escape act against Joo Shu Woon and Foo Sin Xi.
