Rizal Memorial Coliseum to host M5 Grand Finals

The M5 World Championship grand finals are set to take place at the historic Rizal Memorial Coliseum, as announced by MOONTON on Wednesday, just before the start of the MPL Philippines Season 12 playoffs.

The group stage will be held at the EVM Convention Center, while the knockout stage and the grand finals will take place at Rizal Coliseum.

Last year, the pinnacle event of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang was hosted in Jakarta, Indonesia, at the Bali United Studio (group stage) and at the Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan (playoffs).

This is the second major ML:BB esports event to be held in the Philippines, following the country’s hosting of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in 2019.

The M5 World Championship is scheduled to run from November 23 to December 17.

ONIC Esports (Indonesia), Geek Fam (Indonesia), RRQ Akira (Brazil), Bigetron Sons (Brazil), HomeBois (Malaysia), Team Flash (Singapore), See You Soon (Cambodia), Triple Esports (Saudi Arabia), Deus Veult (Russia), Fire Flux Impunity (Turkey), The Ohio Brothers (USA), and Burmese Ghouls (Myanmar) have already secured their tickets to M5.

The Philippines, on the other hand, is still in the process of determining its representatives. The top two teams in the MPL Philippines Season 12 playoffs will earn slots in the world tilt.

Meanwhile, Imperio, Team SMG, Umbrella Squad, 4Merical Esports, Niightmare Esports, Team Lilgun, Team Falcon, and KeepBest Gaming will compete in the wildcard phase, where two slots are up for grabs.

The Filipino squad ECHO is the reigning champion of the M-Series, having defeated the fellow Pinoy squad Blacklist International in the finale.
