Ginebra San Miguel suffered a huge blow to its 2021-22 PBA Governors’ Cup campaign.
Stanley Pringle is not expected to return this conference as he is recuperating from surgery to repair a torn meniscus on his left knee.
According to Ginebra head coach Tim Cone, the 34-year-old combo guard is estimated to be out for three months.
The first half of his recovery will involve non-weight bearing therapy while the final six weeks, barring any hiccups, will involve weights.
“That will put him out of the Governors’ Cup,” tweeted Cone.
Pringle only played one game this conference, finishing with seven points, four rebounds, and three assists against Alaska last December 12.
It was initially diagnosed that Pringle suffered a torn ACL but a second opinion showed that it was still intact.
Ginebra is currently 3-1 in the standings.
