The Philippine Women’s National Football Team experienced a rough finale to its 2023 Pinatar Cup stint, absorbing a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Iceland, Wednesday, at the Pinatar Arena in Spain.

Coach Alen Stajcic’s team fell to a brace from Iceland midfielder Amanda Andradóttir, who broke the deadlock in the 20th minute and doubled her side’s lead in the 51st minute.

Down by two goals, the Filipinas conceded thrice more with 20 minutes to go in the match. Selma Sól Magnúsdóttir made it 3-0 in the 71st minute while Hlín Eiríksdóttir and Alexandra Jóhannsdóttir completed the rout in the 80th and 90+3 minutes respectively.
