OhMyV33NUS hopes Blacklist V will compose SIBOL in Worlds

Blacklist International star Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna is confident that their main five can make it into the final roster of SIBOL for the upcoming 14th IESF World Championships.

Speaking in front of reporters during the Philippine Esports Organization (PESO) Thanksgiving Gala, the 27-year-old support specialist said that the Blacklist International core will bank on their chemistry in the upcoming combine where they will be pitted against amateur squad Maharlika Esports.

“Naniniwala naman ako sa chemistry namin as five,” said OhMyV33NUS.

“Naniniwala rin ako sa individual skills ng isa’t isa and I’m confident na whatever happens, kakayanin naming lima na as much as possible mabuo kami.”

Blacklist International topped the SIBOL qualifiers last Sunday after defeating Euphoria Esports in the semifinals to qualify for the combine before eventually taking down Maharlika Esports in the finale to hand Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza the head coaching gig.

Still, whatever the outcome of the SIBOL combine might be, OhMyV33NUS is positive that the Philippines can bag the IESF World Esports Championships.

After all, Blacklist International had already proven that they can co-exist with amateur stars, even citing the 31st Southeast Asian Games as an example.

In the Hanoi Games, the Blacklist International core of OhMyV33NUS, Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, Salic “Hadji” Imam, and Dexter “DEX STAR” Alaba teamed up with amateur standouts Dominic “Dominic” Soto, Lee Howard “Owl” Gonzales, and Russel “Eyon” Usi and won the gold medal in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang event — the second consecutive one for the Philippines.

“If ever na mixed yung roster or ma-chop chop yung Blacklist [sa combine] with Maharlika, I think kayang kaya naman namin,” said OhMyV33NUS.

“We’re super confident that we can win the IESF [kahit mixed] kasi napatunayan naman namin ‘to last SEA Games kung gaano namin dinominate and pinanalo yung SEA Games even na meron kaming tatlong rookies,” he added.
