NCF, QC Capitals headline 3X3 Golden League Manila playoffs


The Naga College Foundation (NCF), Quezon City Capitals, and Dasma Ballers led the teams that advanced to the playoff round of the 3×3 Golden League Manila 2018 after sweeping their matches on Friday at the Dumlao Sports Center.

The NCF Tigers beat Bulldogs, IOC Blue Hank, and Kenyos Elite 1 in Pool L; while the QC Capitals won over Hoop City, 365 Philippines, and Arceegee Basketball in Pool H to go 3-0 in the team standings.

Also sweeping their matches in the tournament with Allan Caidic as commissioner and organized by MediaPro Asia and SINA Sports were the Dasma Ballers after defeating Savio Seniors, Ball of Duty, and GSW Ballers in Pool G.

The three teams will advance to the next round and will get the opportunity to play for the title on Sunday at the Ayala Circuit Mall Makati, with the champion team representing the Philippines in the SINA 3×3 International Elite League from November 13 to 17 and taking home the top prize of USD $3,000.

Meanwhile, guest team and Chengdu, China leg winner ABA Perfecture also swept their matches after winning over FEU-NRMF B, GSW Ballers, and Madmax.

Other teams that swept the group phase are AMA University, Tanza Ballers, BT, Unicorn-C, Savio Juniors, Black Bears, IMET, and Bigbos Idol.
