On the other side of the court, Chynna Castillo produced 11 points on nine attacks, with seven excellent digs, while Katleya Molina added nine points on eight attacks. But it was not enough for the Lady Red Spikers, who dropped to a 0-2 record.
In the second game, defending champions College of St. Benilde delivered a dominating performance against Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC), winning in straight sets, 25-17, 25-20, 25-8.

Jade Gentapa led the Lady Blazers with 13 points, while Cristy Ondangan chipped in nine points, including three blocks.
Despite the absence of star player Mycah Go, who is still recovering from an ACL tear, the Lady Blazers managed to keep their winning streak going. Head coach Jerry Yee admitted that the team felt the pressure, but they were determined to keep their focus on the game.
“We do feel pressure, pero ita-try natin itago. Everybody knows na wala pang first rotation, so everybody is trying to buy into the six diba. So, agawan sila ng playing time, agawan sila ng chance,” he said.
For EAC, Catherin Almazan lifted her team with 12 points on 10 attacks and five excellent digs, while Moana Banares chipped in 10 excellent receptions. Unfortunately, their efforts were not enough, as the Lady Generals dropped to a 0-2 record.
With their second consecutive win, the Lady Blazers and the Lady Chiefs improved to a 2-0 win-loss record, while the Lady Generals and the Lady Red Spikers dropped to 0-2.
