Losing Kianna Dy was a big blow to F2’s title aspirations, admits Myla Pablo

Myla Pablo admitted that the absence of Kianna Dy played a huge part in F2 Logistics’ downfall against the foreign team Kurashiki in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference semifinals.

Dy missed her second consecutive game in the semifinals due to a right knee injury, and F2 Logistics suffered its third-straight loss, 20-25, 22-25, 20-25, which eliminated them from the semis contention.

I think three weeks ata [dapat] yung pahinga niya so hindi namin pwedeng pilitin yung bata. Syempre health [niya yun],” said the former league MVP, who also battled numerous injuries in the past years.

“May next conference pa naman e so I think mas better na rin na i-pahinga namin si Kianna this conference.”

The former De La Salle University star was subbed out of the fourth set of the Cargo Movers’ pivotal five-set loss to the finals-bound Creamline last Thursday.

With Dy out, Ivy Lacsina, a former middle blocker who was converted to an open spiker, slid into the opposite role and was limited to just two points by the Ablaze.

Meanwhile, Pablo once again shouldered the scoring load with 12 points to lead the Cargo Movers.
