Limitless looks to seal top seed as four teams fight for dear life in PBA 3×3 Leg 6

The race to the PBA 3×3 Second Conference Grand Finals is heating up as the sixth and last leg gets rolling on Tuesday at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

All 13 teams are expected to go full throttle in jockeying for positions in the Big Dance, with Limitless looking to keep its hold of the no. 1 spot.

The league’s reigning grand champions remain at the pole position of the tour points rankings with 410 big thanks to their title runs in the previous two stops. They are surely gunning for their third straight in the upcoming hostilities.

Should they accomplish that, the Southeast Asian Games-bound crew will become the very first team to win three crowns in a single conference.

The quartet of Jorey Napoles, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, Marvin Hayes, and Reymar Caduyac banner Pool A. There, they will go up against fellow contenders Meralco, Sista, NorthPort, and Barangay Ginebra.

That sets up quite an early meeting between the Appmasters and the Bolts, which currently place third in the rankings with 345 tour points.

The second-running TNT (375 points), meanwhile, is leading a loaded Pool B together with the No. 4 San Miguel Beer which owns 280 points.

Also in that group are Pioneer and Terrafirma, just two of the many teams hoping to dislodge the Beermen in the standings. The ProTibay are currently at no. 7 (197 points), while the Dyip are at 10th (124 points).

Pool C, lastly, is spearheaded by Platinum Karaoke, which is at sixth with 221 points. Joining the guest team are the no. 8 Purefoods (168 points); the 11th-ranked CAVITEX (113 points); and no. 12 Master Sardines (95 points).

Just like in the maiden conference, 10 teams will make it into the grand finale. Then the top four teams automatically qualify for the quarterfinals.

The bottom six, meanwhile, will be split into two pools. The top two of each group earn the right to face the seeded teams in the said round.
