The inevitable has happened between Kagawa and Roosevelt Adams.
The Five Arrows announced on Monday that they will put the 6-foot-5 winger in the free agent portal after his contract expires on May 31.
Adams, the 28-year-old top overall pick in the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft, averaged 9.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in 36 games played for Kagawa.
Adams’ release was bound to happen after the Five Arrows after they finished second to the last in B2 with a 16-44 record.
Kagawa also released its world imports Angus Brandt and Nigel Spikers earlier.
Kagawa, along with Earth Friends Tokyo Z, were relegated to B3.
B3 teams have a limited budget compared to their B2 counterparts.
