Juan GDL heads to Lithuania, signs with Wolves

Juan Gomez de Liano’s overseas career is not yet over.

And he has taken one of the biggest leaps among the Filipino imports.

The 6-foot combo guard from the University of the Philippines is headed to Europe after signing with Lithuania’s BC Wolves.

He becomes the second homegrown Filipino to play in a top-tier European league after Jack Animam, who signed with First Women’s Basketball League of Serbia’s ŽKK Radnički Kragujevac last year.

The team made the announcement on Thursday while the signing happened on Wednesday evening.

Helping facilitate the deal was Marvin Espiritu of EMBM.
