Jema Galanza’s fans fly to Iloilo

ILOILO CITY — Jema Galanza received a massive boost ahead of Creamline’s final elimination round assignment against Akari.

Members of JG Community International, one of Galanza’s many fans clubs, traveled all the way from Manila to Iloilo to support the former PVL Most Valuable Player and her Cool Smashers in their clash against the Chargers at 6:30 PM at the University of San Agustin Gymnasium.

Edz Franco, one of the moderators of the group that has almost 2,000 members, said that it’s their way of showing support for Galanza. According to her, Galanza served as a bridge to the many friendships that were built in the group.

“It’s one way to support Jema lang din kasi meron kaming something na nakita sa kanya. Worth it naman siya na supportahan talaga and siya rin isa sa mga reason kung bakit din nag-bond yung friendship ng group namin,” said Franco during a quick interview with the media at the Iloilo International airport.

Creamline (6-1) looks to formally secure the top seed against a motivated Akari (2-5) side, who aims to end its All-Filipino Conference campaign on a winning note.

Galanza missed the Cool Smashers’ win against Army-Black Mamba but already played in their previous game against PLDT. The former Adamson standout is expected to suit up against the Chargers.

Whatever the outcome of the match, Franco said that the rest of the JG Community International will continue to support Galanza and her team.

“Alam naman namin lagi kang magaling so kahit ano man result ng laro mo nandito lang kami para supportahan ka,” Franco said when asked for their message for Galanza.
