The guy who confessed he is afraid of dribbling drills is the same guy who damaged his defender’s ankle after a highlight crossover, Friday afternoon.
With the Lyceum of the Philippines University up 52-40 against College of Saint Benilde in the third quarter, Jaycee Marcelino did not hesitate to hit Blazers guard Eric Pili with a quick crossover. Pili lost his balance in the process, resulting in a wide-open lane for the shifty guard.

When asked about the play after Lyceum’s 83-69 win, the Olongapo-native confessed that he was surprised with what happened.
Kaya nage-extra work ako, dribble ng dribble,” shared Marcelino, who is averaging 11.7 points and 5.6 rebounds this season.
Aside from his speed, one would also notice the high flying 5-foot-9 out-jumping his much-taller defenders, and the Lyceum rookie credits his homecourt in the north.
Looking back on his ankle-breaker maneuver, Marcelino offered his apologies to the Saint Benilde sophomore.
