After Gerflor players voiced their concerns regarding the non-payment of their salaries and the training situation, the team’s management issued a statement addressing the controversies they are facing.
Gerflor has acknowledged that the league is in the process of gathering valuable information from the team officials, players, and staff to aid in the investigation.
Furthermore, Gerflor’s management has recognized that there is an issue concerning the team’s finances.
“We acknowledge the problem and are actively working on finding an immediate solution to resolve it,” the statement reads.
Gerflor also clarified that they are not in any way associated with the Quezon City local government, despite carrying the city’s name.
“This is to further state that the Quezon City Gerflor Team is a PRIVATE Professional Volleyball Club and is not affiliated with the local government of Quezon City,” the statement continues.
Gerflor assures that a solution will be reached between them and the players.
“Rest assured that all matters will be resolved privately for the interest of everyone concerned.”
