Cignal added to its defensive backend, signing Dawn Macandili-Catindig for three years.
The HD Spikers announced the development on Friday.
For Macandili-Catindig, signing with Cignal after the disbandment of F2 Logistics was a no-brainer as she has been under the watch of head coach Shaq delos Santos in the national team.
“I’m happy and honored to be able to join a stable and long-time volleyball club such as the Cignal HD Spikers.
“Coach Shaq has also been my coach in several national team stints so I think it will be easy to adapt to the team as I already know his system from before,” said the 2022 PVL Open Conference Best Libero.
Adding the 27-year-old defensive specialist to their arsenal is a welcome addition for Delos Santos
“Any team or coach will gladly welcome a player of Dawn’s caliber,” said Delos Santos.
“Gusto naming mag-build pa on the podium finishes that we have lately. Tingin namin si Dawn is one kind of player who will help us reach our goal for this team.”
Cignal finished in third place during the 2nd All-Filipino Conference.
The PVL begins its 2024 season in February.
