Belen, Solomon, Canino return as Alas Women gear up for SEA V.League

Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon, and Angel Canino are about to rejoin the Alas Pilipinas lineup as the team heads to Thailand for the opening leg of the 2025 SEA V.League.

Capital1’s Belen, Solomon, and La Salle’s Canino — along with Adamson’s Shaina Nitura and FEU’s Cla Loresco — were previously left out of the VTV Cup roster to rest but are now making their return.

Their inclusion comes as Fil-American star Brooke Van Sickle has been ruled ineligible for the tournament.

Also missing from the lineup are Petro Gazz middle blocker MJ Phillips and Choco Mucho setter Tia Andaya, who have yet to secure clearance to play.

Alas Pilipinas head coach Jorge Souza de Brito confirmed the lineup changes to Tiebreaker Times.

Meanwhile, Akari’s Fifi Sharma, ZUS Coffee’s Thea Gagate, and Cignal’s Vanie Gandler — who were listed as reserves in the VTV Cup — have also been included in the 16-woman roster for the SEA V.League.

Joining them are key holdovers from the VTV Cup squad: team captain Jia De Guzman (Creamline), veteran libero Dawn Catindig (Cignal), Dell Palomata (PLDT), Leila Cruz (Capital1), Maddie Madayag (Choco Mucho), Justine Jazareno (Akari), Mars Alba (Akari), and Eya Laure.

The first leg of the SEA V.League will take place in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from August 1 to 3.
