Nxled weathered Ho Chi Minh City’s blistering late rally to escape with a four-set, 25-20, 31-33, 25-17, 25-22 victory in the 2026 PVL Invitational Conference on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Coming off a five-set loss to Thailand’s EST Cola, the Chameleons bounced back to level their record at 2-2, tying the PLDT High Speed Hitters for third and fourth place.
Nxled currently holds third place by virtue of its superior match points, with seven compared to PLDT’s six.
The Chameleons will wrap up the preliminary round on Sunday against Farm Fresh at 1 p.m., while Ho Chi Minh City takes on EST Cola in the succeeding match.
The victory also halted the Vietnamese side’s momentum, dropping them to 1-3 and into a tie with Farm Fresh for fifth and sixth place. With the loss, Ho Chi Minh City is now out of contention for the gold.
