Twelve players were present during Gilas Pilipinas Men’s first practice held at Meralco Gym on Monday evening.
In a surprise, coaches Chot Reyes and Tim Cone also invited two of the country’s naturalization prospects Justin Brownlee.
Last week, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas reported to the Senate that Brownlee’s papers are already complete while Cameron Oliver is still in the process of his completing his. The hearings for their naturalization though have yet to begin.
Also taking part in Monday’s session were Ateneo’s Angelo Kouame and full-time Gilas player William Navarro.
Northport’s newly-acquired forward Arvin Tolentino and TNT’s new boy Calvin Oftana also went to the practice that started at 8:00 PM and ended at around 10.
Completing the cast were TNT’s Roger Pogoy, Meralco’s Chris Newsome, free agent Lebron Lopez, Ginebra’s Scottie Thompson, Jamie Malonzo, and Japeth Aguilar, and San Miguel’s CJ Perez.
Gilas will face Jordan in Amman on November 10 before heading to Damman to take on Saudi Arabia on the 13th.
