After a year away, Rhenz Abando is ready to return to Korea.
The 27-year-old high-flying guard is making his comeback to Anyang Jung Kwan Jang, the team he helped lead to the 2022–23 KBL championship.
Abando, who is represented by Bridge Sports Global, had a strong stint in his first two seasons with the Red Boosters.
He averaged 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game in his rookie year, then improved to 9.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.0 block per outing in his sophomore season.
However, he parted ways with the team last year, prompting Anyang to sign Filipino forward Javi Gomez de Liaño as his replacement.
Anyang finished sixth in the 2024–25 KBL season and later released Gomez de Liaño ahead of their campaign in the 2024 Jones Cup.
Now, Abando returns to the team where he began his professional career.
Bridge Sports Global has been working on finalizing his return over the past month.
